Barber Explained |
|
Barber
is built to meet the challenge of scalability head on
by using n-tier architecture that will allow it to grow
with your business by separating data, presentation
and validation. We have fondly nicknamed our product
"Barber," because our business solution does for businesses
what the local barber does for his customers - keeps
them neat and trim.
Barber is based on the concept that all businesses have
customers, employees, products, and/or services. The
modular design of Barber can support and grow with the
expanding capacity of your business. Each module is
designed to address a specific business need such as
the management of customer relations, human resources,
inventory control, contracts, business contacts, and
much more.

Barber Modules
|
| Accounting
Management: A complete billing system that
includes multiple taxing codes for services and
products sold. Monthly billing codes will automatically
create invoices and special screens in the customer
file for multiple customer locations. This Report
module will give the user the ability to obtain
comprehensive monthly reports about the business
with a few simple keystrokes. |
| Customer
Management: Maintains customer history information,
which can be used to generate reports about customer
purchasing habits. This customer data will be linked
to the built-in bulk mailing system as part of Barber.
|
| Employee
Management: Will be used to maintain a history
of every employee in the company. The information
in this database will be composed of at least two
subsets: - Personal/ business information and -
Work history. Built into the Employee Management
Module will be a payout sub-system for the commissioned
employee. |
| Payroll
Management: This module will organize the
payroll methods of a given company. Employees can
be paid by commission or salary either on a weekly,
bi-weekly or monthly basis. |
| Order
Management: This module will receive, track
and maintain order information. It will be linked
to the inventory, product shippers and suppliers
modules. The Order Management module will of course
have an Internet interface to support e-business
automatically. If a product is running low, the
Order Management module is responsible for placing
an order with the correct supplier. This module
will support different payment methods. |
| Product
& Inventory Management: This module will
maintain a product database with e-commerce capabilities
built into the module. It will have the intelligence
to report a shortage of "vital products" to the
user. In this module, the user will be able to post
and update inventory while simultaneously placing
orders for products. |
| Suppliers
Management: Will maintain a supplier database
link to the product to allow the system to determine
whom to contact to place purchase orders automatically. |
| Shippers
Management: Will maintain a shippers database
link to the Order Management Module and an intelligent
"Best Shipper" module to determine the shipper and
the fastest way of delivering the product. |
| Contact
Management: This will be a standard contact
management module used to collect general information
about a specific contact or business lead. This
database will link to the rest of the system to
avoid duplicating any existing customer information.
Synchronization capability will allow the user to
synchronize this database with some of the most
popular Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) on the
marketplace. |
| Static
Reports: This module will create reports
for customer-buying habits, weekly/monthly/yearly
breakdown of expenses, popularity of products sold,
inventory, shippers, orders, calendar, room schedules,
and personal meetings. Anything that is entered
into the system will be able to be printed out in
a variety of reporting formats. |
| Project
Management: This module will track all timetables,
expenses, labor hours, contracts and reports, arrange
tasks and assign those tasks to an employee. In
addition, it will show all expenses incurred for
equipment and software purchases and employee expenses
for a given project |
